If it is so, as T.S. Eliot says in his magnum opus, The Waste Land, that “April is the cruelest month…” then surely must May be the loveliest: flowers blooming upon carpets of green, gentle zephyr breezes under clear blue skies. Yes, May is lovely and filled with promise, or so it would seem. Here’s what the Southland’s New Moon chart looks like:

The Taurus New Moon

This New Moon, in the sensual and contented sign of Taurus, is a time of rebirth, a time when we are given a chance to start fresh.  In Taurus, it presents an excellent opportunity to commit to personal goals that express the positive energies of the sign of The Bull: enjoying life’s simple pleasures: savoring good food, being in touch with nature and our bodies; cultivating patience, “stopping to smell the roses” (which could easily be a Taurus motto, especially if one considers the archetypal Taurean bull, Ferdinand) and re-evaluating our relationship with money and possessions and in so doing to discover what it is that makes us happy, fulfilled and at-one with our own innate values.
