We’re sad to report that Johnny Mirehiel has decided to discontinue his monthly New Moon column:
I’d like to thank you for having taken the time to check in on my New Moon commentaries here at the NCGR San Diego website and/or on my New Moon L.A. blog. It has been my pleasure during this past year to share with you my ideas about the time honored oracle found in the astrology of the New Moon.
Ah, but all good things must come to an end. It is not without great reluctance that I sign off at this time though. The astrologer in me has certainly learned and grown through the monthly process of writing about the always fresh New Moon. Nevertheless, the astrologer in me also recognizes that it is time, now, for me to retire this public persona, in this cycle at least, and shift into my vita umbralitis, life in the shade. However, as I lay down my pen, it gives me great pleasure to recommend you to the website of a wonderful astrologer, a dear friend and our outstanding webmistress, April Elliott Kent. Her own site, Big Sky Astrology, features a regular New Moon column that I have found to be both informative and inspiring. And, of course, I continue to recommend my great Aussie mate, Linda Hill’s always appropriate Sabian Symbols commentary. I leave you with my best wishes for your happiness in a blessed life, and with love and admiration for who you are. ~ Johnny
Our warm thanks to Johnny for his great work this past year, and good wishes in everything!
We hope to offer an alternative column in the future (let us know if you’d like to contribute something!), but in the meantime, here are a few choice offerings from other NCGR members around the web.
Terry Lamb’s July Forecast, “Tsunami of Consciousness”
“(During an eclipse period) we may find that some aspects of our life are suddenly removed; they have slipped from the world of form into non-form. Although they were on their way out of our lives for some time, we could not yet detect it. Other things appear in their place as soon as our consciousness opens to them, but often after an uncomfortable interval. These have come into form in the physical world from the invisible realm, where they had already been in development.” Full article here
New Moon Financial Forecast from AstrologicalInvesting.com by Kaye Shinker (NCGR IV-CA)
“This eclipse directly affects the public’s opinion of the Dollar. Whether it is deflationary or inflationary the dollar’s value will change. Inflation might pay off the debt, but it puts every worker in a new tax bracket. Fixed income folks will be upset, and likely to blame the Government, the Federal Reserve, the IRS, and Wall Street. The solar eclipse will effect quite a few commodities and their charts are available in The Textbook for Financial Astrology Book IV. The issue for the next six months will be supply and demand of basic agriculture products. Current supplies appear to be abundant, but weather is of course the deciding factor and in this case flooding in critical areas could hamper supply.”
